important changes coming to our lists

Hello all,

I hope everyone is well. My mail transport agent, qmail, has outgrown my needs, so I'm
switching to another MTA. Since ezmlm-idx, the list software I'm
using, relies on  qmail to run, this also means that I have to switch
that as well. I have decided to move over to mailman, since I like the
interface it has, and because it seems to be the most popular list
manager out there, I was able to find pointers on migrating ezmlm-idx
lists over to mailman without much effort. My plans are to first
switch the lists over to mailman, and then switch the MTA. I'm not
sure when I'll start working on this, it might be as soon as tomorrow,
or in a week or 2. This change of course pertains to all the lists I
run here, including the notelinux-devel list. Those of you who are
subscribed to each list, will of course be automatically subscribed to
the mailman lists when I create them after the transition. 

I hope that nobody will object to the move to mailman. However,
if someone here does have a strong objection to mailman, please let me
know, along with what list manager you'd recommend, and I'll take that
into consideration. It would also be nice to know why you object to
mailman, and why you'd recommend your choice. My only requirement is that
whatever list manager I go with, it has to be able to import the list
archive from a mbox file, which is what the current list archives will
be exported as, and what mailman is able to import.

As for our project, there is no news. I'll post once again right
before I start pulling things apart here. Thanks for reading.
